lieblinx is launching ERA, the portal on european resistance against National Sozialism
The European Resistance Archive (ERA) is online: resistance-archive.org.
In time for the commemoration of the Liberation from National Sozialism at the 8. May this online archive that was realized by lieblinx, shows historical testimonies and presents a picture of the resistance movements in Europe during WWII.
This website presents video interviews of active participants in the resistance against the NS regime and fascism. Teenagers from 6 european countries have been conducting these interviews. The European Resistance Archive is sponsored by the European Union. ERA was initiated by istoreco, the italian Institue for the history of antifascistic resistance and contemporary history in the province of Reggio Emilia.
The press conference on occasion of the launch of the ERA site was held in Berlin at the 7. May. In addition to all of ERA's partners it was attended by an italian contemporary witness, a representative of the European Union and some of the teenagers, that had conducted these testimonial interviews.
The conceptual and graphical development was dominated by two main points: presenting such a serious subject in an accurate way and at the same time reaching a wide audience. The main focus during the development was usability and graphical realization.
