Before the official start of the first World Championship of Streetfootball in Berlin our friends of streetfootballworld invited us to participate in a tournament with their other partners and the teams that had come from all over the world. It took place in a football arena that was built for this event on the Mariannenplatz in Berlin's quarter Kreuzberg.
On the day of the official querterfinal between Germany and Argentina the "lbx-team" and the Peaceteam from Israel and Palestine were facing Peru and their partners. In another match Columbia and Peru were our opponents. The teams were as colourful as the whole event.
Everyone was running and sweating and those of lieblinx who didn't participate on the playfield were cheering the active players on. Regarding goals we lost, regarding fun and contacts we were winners. The actual victory was secondary since it was the amicable cooperation and the fair play that counted. All of the lieblinx team really loved the hours spent there and the atmosphere and became enthusiastic fans of the Streetfootball Word Championship.
The beginning was done. Our sincere compliments to the organisators from streetfootballworld. We wish them as much overwhelming success for the further "Festival06" as they had on this first day!
